While not at work

I like to do a lot of crafting. I taught myself how to sew a few years ago and have been crafting ever since.

I've also made magnets. Hundreds and hundreds actually.

My other hobby is reading. I mostly read nonfiction and some of my favorites lately have been: Nothing to Envy, Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and The Hunger Games Trilogy.

One my main interests in traveling. Unfortunately with our work schedules and commitments we don't get to do it as often as we would like.  Some of my favorite trips....


In college I spent about a month in the Shetland Islands, Scotland for an archaeology field school.

Who is Katharine?

I am a new student, an avid reader, traveler, history buff and crafter.

My undergraduate degree is in geography/anthropology so business classes will be a interesting challenge for me.  


My husband and I live in southern Maine with our two cats Finn and Puck.
